Adobe Spark – Mobile Applications

For this class, one of our projects was taking information based on our blogs and transforming it into mobile posts. For this assignment, I used Adobe Mobile Applications: Adobe Spark Video, Adobe Spark Page, and Adobe Spark Post. For part 1-Adobe Spark Video-I created a short 10 page/plate video on the benefits of yoga. I used music for the background and included a voiceover for most of the pages. For the second part-Adobe Spark Page-I created a 5 rolling page project on yoga. I inserted free pictures and used their themes. For the third part-Adobe Spark Post-I created a single picture social media graphic for “Say Yes to Yoga.” I used their free pictures a various themes. Below are these three assignments.  Continue reading “Adobe Spark – Mobile Applications”

Holiday Yoga Part 2 : Yogi Diet for Winter

In the previous post, I wrote about different Yoga poses to practice in the winter months. As said before, winter brings along negative health impacts with its cold weather. Rain, crisp wind, and dark days affects our choices such as motivation to eat healthy. In the winter, our bodies might crave certain foods that are not the healthiest; such as sodium packed soups, sugary hot chocolate, and excessive caffeine to get us through the gloomy day. However, this season makes our bodies more vulnerable to getting sick and having a cold or getting the flu. This is because cold weather makes our immune system weak. So, there are certain foods that contain major health benefits that you should be eating during this cold season. Continue reading “Holiday Yoga Part 2 : Yogi Diet for Winter”

Holiday Yoga Part 1: Yoga for Cold Weather

As the season transitions from fall to winter, our bodies react physically, mentally, and spiritually. Cold weather brings negative effects such as reducing blood flow, leaving us feeling dull and freezing. The crisp winter winds also affect our immune system. In the winter, our immune response is diminished. This often leads to feeling ill, or getting sick. Being sick leads to lack of good sleep and a poor diet often times. The winter weather also impacts our skin. In these few months, skin can become dry, red, irritated, and rough. There is no doubt that all these negative winter affects can also affect our chakras. At this time, the holidays can also bring much stress, and for some it can bring sadness or depression. Another change in the winter is that the days get dark earlier, leading to lack of being productive and getting more done in the day.  Continue reading “Holiday Yoga Part 1: Yoga for Cold Weather”
